Happy Caturday, gang! Did you know that tigers, in addition to being the largest of the Big Cats, are also talented painters? It’s true–and here’s a Video Worthy video from Big Cat Rescue to prove it. Enjoy!
Good ol’ industrial videos: sometimes they’re informative, sometimes they look cool… and sometimes, as in this video from KukaRobotGroup, they’re BOTH! This clip demonstrates the plasma spray coating process performed in a vacuum by a robot. (That sentence just gets better and better as you go, doesn’t it?)
Plasma spray (also called “plasma electric arc,” which sounds even cooler) coating is the process of coating machine parts (usually) with a liquified metal or ceramic coating. This coating can give the parts better wear resistance, protect against corrosion, improve dielectric properties…there are a ton of possibilities depending on the coating material. You can find out more about it here.
If the technical aspects of the process are not your cup of tea, well, it looks like something straight out of science fiction. So that’s cool, too. Enjoy!
The Nineteen Hundred and Eighties were nothing if not the Golden Age of Television Commercials. As evidence, Video Worthy and ItsTooLateToStopNow present this classic advert for good ol’ Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. “How do you do that, Rog?”
If you had asked me two minutes and three seconds ago if it were possible to drill a square hole, I would have said, “No way, Jose. Get out of here–I have no time for your foolishness.” Then this video from Ozzy Mozzy came along, and am I a-singin’ a different tune. Enjoy!
PS: Sorry you had to learn something today.
Just over a week ago, fans of How I Met Your Mother (the Video Worthy gang included) were treated to a rather underwhelming series finale. Now, thanks to the magic of the interwebs–and Julianna Bixby–we have a far more satisfying conclusion. Enjoy!
Happy Caturday, everybody! From National Geographic comes the “Director’s Cut” of Cheetahs On the Edge, an amazing super-slow-motion clip of a cheetah running at full speed. Because cheetahs are the world’s fastest land animals, it took a little assistance from a Hollywood film crew to make this majestic masterpiece happen, as seen at the end of the clip. Enjoy!
Because it’s 2014 and there is therefore nothing that cannot be extremified, we bring you this brief look into the world of extreme ironing from Diagonal View. Even doing the laundry can be bad@$$, apparently. Enjoy!
This doesn’t look quite as awful as I originally thought it would but, I don’t know, man… Give me Corey Feldman in a foam-rubber suit any day.
